Rosu! Culoarea cea mai draga sufletului meu. Atat de draga incat nu am putut sa-i rezist nici rochiei purtate de mine azi (si cumparate de fapt in iarna), chiar daca de regula evit siluetele in linie A. Si asta nu pt ca nu le gasesc frumoase, insa acest tip de croi nu serveste de regula decat siluetele androgine sau posesoarele unui bust modest.

Astfel am luat rochia de la raft, fermecata fiind de culoare si materialul placut si am plecat cu ea la cabina de proba. M-am tot invartit si-am analizat pana aproape mi-a adormit prietena pe-un scaun, am pus toc in picior si-am decis ca datorita greutatii materialului, nu are un volum atat de stufos astfel incat sa arate ca un balon peste sani.

Nu-mi pare rau ca m-am decis in favoarea ei, am tot purtat-o de atunci (voi ati mai vazut-o si in postul de AICI), dand bine atat pe tocuri cat si la pantofi josi.

Voi ce parere aveti, purtati acest tip de silueta, vi se potriveste?

It Must be the Colors

A fost o perioada in viata mea, pe la inceputul facultatii mai precis, in care eram ferm convinsa ca negrul e culoarea mea. E adevarat, eram mult mai blonda si se potrivea dar ieseam dintr-o perioada a adolescentei in care orbecaiam in cautarea stilului, marcat pe vremea aceea de roz si de dorinta de atentie..
Si astfel am gasit solutia radicala: negrul! Am curatat dulapul si am scapat de toate fustele-batiste, topurile cu vedere la abdomen si restul nebuniilor pe care le imbracam la 17 ani si am facut loc camasilor, puloverelor in anchior, rochitelor romantice, tricourilor basic. Ajutata bineinteles de faptul ca incepusem sa citesc Harper's Bazaar in loc de Popcorn iar internetul incepuse sa devina o sursa viabila de informatii in acest domeniu, am inceput sa descopar farmecul unei simple rochii negre asortata pantofilor rosii, a bijuteriilor pretioase in fata gablonturilor, a pantalonilor palazzo, esarfelor de matase si al accesoriilor de calitate.
Patrundeam intr-o alta lume si cu cat ma documentam mai mult si aflam povestile din spatele personalitatilor, a designerilor si fotografilor care au revolutionat lumea modei, realizam incantata ce modalitate puternica de expresie personala si artistica o reprezinta aceasta! O forma de arta! O simpla rochie de seara are capacitatea de a tese intrigi, starni pasiuni si de a evoca in fapt o intreaga poveste!

Dupa perioada aceea de tranzitie, simtind potentialul limitat al negrului am inceput incet, incet sa reintru in jocul culorilor. Si ce joaca delicioasa! Mai ales acum, cand regulile modei s-au relaxat si nu mai tine decat de imaginatia ta sa creezi o tinuta care sa vorbeasca despre tine!

E adevarat, dragii mei cititori, stilul se dobandeste, se educa! La fel cum iti cultivi bunele maniere sau iti sporesti bagajul de cunostinte! Pana si un talent nativ, precum voce frumoasa, neexploatata si fara munca sustinuta nu-si va atinge niciodata potentialul maxim, nu-i asa?

EN: I haven't been able to switch out my winter wardrobe for my Spring/Summer one yet and the truth is that I need to postpone the moment a bit, as the weather can be quite changeable and unpredictable at this time of year.
Not being blessed with a wardrobe that can contain all 4 seasons, I have to go through all this process two-times a year, but that's ok, I really, really enjoy doing this! Oh, I can't wait to see all those wool sweaters and turtlenecks in boxes, making place for the the flowy dresses, t-shirts and flirty skirts!

RO: Inca nu am reusit sa fac tranzitia de la garderoba de iarna la cea de primavara/vara. Oricat de mult mi-as dori- si spre bucuria mea, soarele sare in ajutorul meu stand zambaret, cocotat pe bolta senina iar eu vreau ca si garderoba mea sa simta ce frumos s-a facut afara- ei bine, vremea e inca destul de inselatoare si teribil de capricioasa. 
Desi am un dressing numai al meu, din cauza garderobei in continua crestere, spatiile de depozitare par mereu insuficiente si bineinteles, nu pot sustine toate cele 4 anotimpuri odata. Asadar, in fiecare an imi rezerv o zi doar pt activitatea asta, despatur frumos fiecare tricou si bluzita aranjate peste iarna in pungi si cutii, le admir, imi amintesc de ele (?!), le probez si le combin gandindu-ma la trendurile preferate ale sezonului si cum le pot adapta. Nu stiu voi dar eu abia astept sa vad puloverele din lana disparand frumusel de pe rafturi,  facand loc unei recuzite mai aerisite. 


Voi ati trecut deja trecerea la garderoba de primavara?

The Sweater Dress

EN: Let's face it, staying warm AND stylish during the impending Winter months is not always an easy task! It often requires a bit more thought and effort and we don't always have that precious extra time in the morning to get a smart layering that's neither too bulky nor completely uncomfortable.

This is where sweater dresses come in. I can't think about an easier way to look super chic, while still keeping warm. Just wear a long sleeved thermal vest underneath(YES, from my experience, the absolute best way to stay warm!), add a nice wool&cashmere coat in a precious color, knee high boots, some proper accessories as chunky scarves, gloves, etc. and you're ready to go!

RO: Dragele mele, cred ca nu gresesc cand spun ca unul dintre cele mai mari inconveniente ale fashionistelor de pretutindeni pe timp de iarna o constituie imbinarea esteticului cu confortul termic. De multe ori gradele din termometre ne limiteaza alegerile stilistice iar dimineata pierdem timp pretios incercand sa compunem o tinuta care sa ne flateze dar in acelasi timp sa ne ajute sa facem fata zapezii si vantului taios. Stiu ca e mult mai la indemana sa aruncati o pereche de jeans si o pufoaica, insa lunile de iarna nu trebuie sa fie un motiv de neglijenta sau delasare!!

Aici intervine insa rochia pulover, una dintre cele mai comode si versatile piese din garderoba noastra. Necesita efort minim de stilizare si arata super chic atat la birou cat si la scoala sau la plimbare! Eu propun sa mergeti pe culori neutre care, asortate corespunzator, permit o sumedenie de asocieri: in combinatie cu un palton intr-o culoare pretioasa si cizme inalte va constitui lookul perfect pt o zi de munca iar impreuna cu o parka imblanita va fi ideala pt un look lejer intr-o seara rece de decembrie.

Some photos taken last week in Bremenhaven. Arghhh, I'm so tired, I stayed up all night watching movies and I'm pretty much like a walking zombie right now. You know, together with my books and reading, cinema will always remain one of my life's greatest pleasures. Movie junkie here!!!

I'll go make myself a nice, large cup of green&peppermint tea, my daily energy booster+ a dear friend coming over, a winning combination that will definitely lift my mood!

Now really, don't I blend quite nicely into the autumn's changing foliage with these colors on me?! hehe

I think that the (only) best part of fall would definitely have to be the enchanting landscape and all these spectacular, vibrant colors that surround us. It's a true pleasure to take a relaxing stroll through a beautiful urban forest or a nice park on a weather like this.. The not-so-thrilling-at-all part though is the anticipation of winter..Arghhh, the crisp morning air is a reminder of the biting cold we'll all be complaining about sooner than we'd want..

When Autumn strolls through town

Hey guys!! Just a casual outfit that I wore on a shopping trip to Hamburg at the beginning of the week, I'm so sorry I couldn't take more photos to this beautiful town, it was freezing that day!!

I'm not sure if I told you before, but Hamburg is one of my favorite cities in Germany! It's cosmopolitan but still rich in history, it has impressive architecture and world-class museums and the huge port has been recently voted as "the world's most beautiful port". Not to mention it's heaven on earth for both shopping and the night life! I would trade Bremen for it in no time:D

In my opinion, definitely one of the must-see cities in Europe! Have you already seen it?

I'm a soldier of orange

If you had asked me a few years ago how I feel about wearing orange, well, I would have definitely said god forbid!! it's the the only color you'll never see in my wardrobe! And look at me now!
What do you think, isn't 'never say never' probably one of the only fashion laws to live by nowadays?

I wore this trench coat inspired dress a couple of days ago for dinner and it instantly became one of my fall favorites. I bet it would looke awesome paired with some tall leather boots, a long silky scarf and a beret. Très chic I would say;)
